LASC is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students and is approved to operate by the BPPVE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education).LASC is an ETS certified test administration site for the internet-based TOEFL exam.

LASC's location is ideal to experience the life and culture of Los Angeles, with downtown Los Angeles to the east, oceans to the west, and Hollywood to the north. Surrounded by a multitude of ethnic districts, the Mid-Wilshire area is also a cultural melting pot where you can to experience the diversity and vitality of American culture. Studying English within 1/2 hour of downtown Los Angeles provides access to one of the business, entertainment, arts, education, culture, sports, and tourist capitals of the world. Our goal is to provide students, professionals, and tourists of all nationalities with an unforgettable experience of American language and culture.
Courses:LASC's ESL programs prepare students from beginning to advanced levels to communicate effectively in academic, business, and social settings. An assessment test will determine which level is appropriate for you.
Each program is comprised of three different modules:
1) Grammar where you will cultivate your reading and writing skills,
2) Conversation where you will practice your speaking and listening skills and
3) An optional elective course where you can concentrate on a specific aspect of the English language.
Elective course offerings change each quarter so please check with the admissions office for the most current information. TSE, Essay Writing, Citizenship, Business English, Screen English, Pronunciation, American Slang.
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
Our TOEFL Preparation course provides intensive practice in preparation for the Listening, Reading, Writing, and Grammar portions of the TOEFL exam. Weekly practice exams help you to improve and achieve the scores you desire.
- Private English lessons: Students who seek to improve or excel in a specific skill such as reading, writing, or speaking may choose to study one on one with an instructor. Furthermore, private lessons can greatly compliment the curriculum of our morning and evening classes as well.
