Christ Prince of Peace School is a Catholic
elementary school in Manchester, MO (a west St.
Louis County suburb) for grades K-8. The school
serves children grades K-8. The school's
curriculum meets and exceeds the requirements
for the state of Missouri.
Christ, Prince of Peace School assists children
with learning differences in grades K-8. Our
primary students are supported by the reading
specialist who works with small groups of
at-risk students in the learning center. Our
students in grades 4-8 are supported by the
learning consultant as well as dedicated
teachers who individualize within the classroom
to meet our students' needs.
The school's curriculum meets and exceeds the
requirements for the state of Missouri. The
school's technology program includes networked
computer lab with 25 Macintosh computers. Each
classroom has a networked computer and video
hookup for whole class demonstrations using the
TV monitor. We have thirty AlphaSmart laptop
word processors that can be used in the
classroom. The school also has a mobile lab
consisting of 25 laptops and a wireless printer.
Internet access is available in the lab and each
classroom.
Courses
Kindergarten, Elementary & Middle School Grades.
Elementary curriculum includes Reading,
Handwriting, Math, Science, Social Studies,
Language Arts, Religion, PE, Music, Spanish,
Computer Technology. Middle school students take
EXPLO classes twice a year. These classes
include bridge, pottery, stained glass, digital
photography, drama, needlework & finance.
Special activities include Student Council,
Musicals, Math-a-thon, Band, Newspaper, DARE
Program, Art Fair, Mass Attendance, Speech Club,
Scouting, Sports, Safety Patrol, 6th Grade Camp,
