Learn to swim with Adrian Ginju, a former member of Romanian Olympic Swim Team, and a winner of gold, silver and bronze awards in European competitions. Learn to swim with Lori Pailet, an American aquatic exercise instructor certified by AEA. AquaSkills is a private Swim School located in Lower Manhattan and is a leader in swim education throughout NYC. AquaSkills is the premiere place to learn to swim with customized attention given to each student. Small instructor to student ratios for group sessions allow for the ultimate swim education courses available. We conduct private and semi private swimming classes in an exclusive heated pool. We teach adults at all levels and ages as well as we teach children from the age of 4 and upward. A trial class is suggested for placement.

AquaSkills swim lessons in NYC has a year round enrollment with a revolving schedule. We specialize in swim classes for all ages and in classes for children or adults with professional aspirations to become expert swimmers for teams or competitions. By appointment only.

For 100% flexibility of class schedule, you can create your own semi-private or small groups by finding your own classmates. Swim groups & parties are available on Sundays only by special request.

Swimming has always been our passion. AquaSkills instructors are mature as well as dedicated and highly skilled at teaching all levels.

Swimming has been an opportunity for personal freedom and self expression. One acquires discipline, coordination, balance and harmony. Being able to master the water as a medium is essential to the human spirit, the physical being and life.

Adrian Ginju is a former member of the Romanian Olympic Swim Team and has a background as a competitive swimmer. Lori Pailet is an Aquatic exercise instructor certified by AEA. Our methods are an amalgam of Adrian's unique experience from Europe as a professional swimmer and Lori's all-inclusive comprehension of the fitness aspect of swimming.

We have both been highly touted as number one for "Overcoming Fear of Water" & Beginner Swim Class. AquaSkills is a place to learn correct form & proper techniques as well as to have fun with your new skills.

Both Adrian and Lori are certified to teach swimming by the American Red Cross standards. Daily rigorous training and devotion made Adrian qualify for the Romanian Olympic Swim Team. Adrian trained at the 23rd August Olympic Camp in Romania at the same time as other world class athletes.

Adrian holds a Water Safety Instructors certificate, is a certified Life Guard, CPR and Aquatics Director. He has received international awards and medals over the years. Adrian believes in a gentle approach to swimming instruction.

Born in New Orleans LA, Lori is an Aquatic exercise instructor certified by AEA. Lori also studied Modern Dance at Martha Graham and ballet at Robert Jeoffry. Moving in the water is like sculpting and dancing. Lori believes that swimming and water aerobics are the "here and now" activities for fitness and release of tension.
