 Founded
in 1976, The Delphian School, located on in Oregon's scenic Willamette
Valley 60 miles southwest of Portland, is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school. Set amongst the rolling hills of the Oregon Coast Range and the mountains of the Cascade Range, our 800-acre campus offers the perfect setting for a fun and challenging summer school program.
The purpose of The Delphian School Summer at
Delphi program is to challenge young people in
and out of the classroom and help them discover
that their potential for success is unlimited.
The Delphian School welcomes students from
around the world. We seek to impart to students
a love of learning and the ability to put their
education to productive use.
 Courses:
Overnight and day programs with personalized
academics, challenging activities, sports camps,
weekend trips and fun. Over 250 courses and
classes are offered each summer. The Delphian
School is nonsectarian. Participants are
coeducational, boarding ages 8-18, day ages
5-18.
2008 Program Dates - June 23 to August 01. The
first enrollment dates are June 21 & 22. Please
e-mail for other enrollment dates. 4 to 6 week
sessions are offered.
- Academic Enrichment Program: Delphi is one of the only academic summer
camps to give students instruction in and
personal reference books about the subject of
how to study.
- Summer Sports Camps: Delphi offers three
intensive summer sports camps in tennis, soccer
and volleyball.
- Horse Camp: Students will learn about basic
horse care, tack and equestrian anatomy. They
will learn basic arena riding and participate in
a simple drill team as well as take trail
rideswith experienced instructors. Space is
limited.
- Chess Camp: Students will learn basic theory
and strategy and can compete in the Delphi
Invitational Chess Tournament. This camp is run
by Delphi's State-level chess team coach.
- Overnight & Weekend Adventure Trips include an
Overnight Seattle Trip, Wave Park and Movie
Trip, Rafting Trips (Upper & Middle School), All
School Jamboree, Oregon Coast Beach Trip, Sand
Dunes Camping Trip, Silver Falls Camping and
Hiking Trip
English Summer Camp:
An English-as-a- Second-Language (ESL) program
is also offered.
