Odyssey Middle School:
Odyssey School is a private, independent co-educational middle school for gifted and talented students in west San Mateo in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. Odyssey provides gifted students a creative, integrated, experiential curriculum that nurtures intellectual curiosity and emotional risk-taking in an intimate, challenging, yet safe community, resulting in personal accountability, ethical decision-making and an intrinsic passion for learning. The most salient characteristic of the Odyssey course of study is an integrated curriculum. We want students making connections among disciplines, between what is occurring in the real world and their classes, as well as a connection to the real issues in their lives and their course of study.

- Odyssey's 3 year program culminates in a 3 week trip to Japan.

Delphi Academy of Los Angeles

Delphi Academy of Los Angeles is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian day school offering a kindergarten through high school program on one campus. The campus is located in the foothills of the Angeles National Forest in the equestrian community of Lake View Terrace in the San Fernando Valley region. Academics focus on providing students with a solid grounding in the basics, a rich and challenging hands-on curriculum, and the ability to study purposefully and independently.

The Delphi program includes a fully rounded curriculum available for all age levels. Even the very youngest students are exposed to basic concepts of science, history, and the various humanities. In addition to traditional academic subjects, students get training in practical areas such as communication, manners, computers, nutrition and organization. The Athenian School, San Francisco Bay Area

Located on a beautiful 75-acre campus at the base of Mt. Diablo in Danville, Contra Costa County CA, The Athenian School is an independent co-educational college preparatory day and boarding school. We offer a day program for Middle School students (grades 6 - 8) from the East Bay region and day and boarding programs for Upper School students (grades 9 - 12) from the US and throughout the world.

Boarding students from throughout the world live in two dormitories, housing approximately 20 students each. More than 20 faculty members live on campus, providing extraordinary guidance and support for all students.

Total enrollment is approximately 450 students, 150 in the 6th-8th grades and 300 day and boarding students in grades 9-12. Founded by parents and teachers in 1971, Live Oak draws families from Portrero, Central East, Mission District and other communities throughout the Peninsula.
