The Art Institute of Houston is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate of Applied Science degrees. The Art Institute is authorized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to award Associate of Applied Art and Associate of Applied Science degrees. The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has granted a certificate of Authority to The Art Institute of Houston to award the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Interior Design, Graphic Design and Media Arts & Animation. The Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts is accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF).
