Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur is
the Centralised Training Institute of Indian
Railways, for the training of officers and
supervisors of the Mechanical Engineering
department.
Those completing the course are appointed to the
Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) on the Indian Railways.Courses
The 4 year undergraduate programme for the Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Engineering. A select group of 10 to 15 students are selected by the Union Public Service Commission for the course after their Class XIIth examination.
