 Regional programs:

We offer courses at our South West regional campus and through selected regional learning annexes, including Margaret River Education Campus and the Geraldton Universities Centre.

Located two hours drive south of Perth and in Western Australia's second largest city, ECU's South West Campus (Bunbury) is the largest university campus outside the metropolitan area.

ECU South West Campus is part of an educational precinct comprising the South West Regional College of TAFE and the Bunbury Health Campus, which includes St John of God Hospital and South West Area Health Services.

We have established partnerships with many educational institutions to conduct courses and programs offshore.

 Off-campus courses:

We offer a wide range of courses which are available for study off-campus. Studying a course off-campus will enable you to study the course without ever having to come to an ECU campus.

This is an option for students, who for reasons such as distance, domestic responsibilities, work commitments or disability would prefer not to relocate to study.


 Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA):

Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Edith Cowan University was established in 1980 to provide performing arts tuition comparable to the highest calibre of national and international training benchmarks to be able to meet industry needs around the globe.

Unique by virtue of its national and international reputation the overriding objective of WAAPA is to nurture and develop the talent of a select group of emerging artists to standards of excellence.

Currently, WAAPA teaches Acting, Music Theatre, Directing, Dance, Jazz and Contemporary Music, Classical Music, Arts Management, Production, Design, and Broadcasting.
In addition to teaching and developing emerging artists, WAAPA 'stages' concerts and performances, laying the path for the smoothest transition possible from student to professional. Each year WAAPA stages hundreds of concerts and performances across the genres of Jazz, Contemporary and Classical Music, Dance, Acting and Music Theatre. WAAPA also invites many renowned industry professionals to Perth as artists in residence to work with students on productions and performances.


 ECU Library:

ECU Libraries are based on ECU’s Mount Lawley, Joondalup and South West Campuses. Library services are available to ECU students, researchers and staff. Members of the community and ECU alumni can also join the ECU Library.

The ECU Library provides electronic databases, book and journal collections, e‑journals, videos, computer files and multimedia packages as well as facilities for study and research.

Borrowing privileges also extend to members of the libraries of other Western Australian universities.


 ECU Bookshop:

ECU Bookshops are based on ECU’s Mount Lawley , Joondalup and South West Campuses. They stock a wide range of general books, stationery, clothing and memorabilia in addition to course textbooks.

The ECU Bookshop database is available online, with ECU students able to purchase directly from the website.


 ECU Sports and Fitness:

ECU Sports and FitnessECU Sport and Fitness Centres are fully equipped sports, recreation and fitness centres based on ECU’s Mount Lawley and Joondalup Campuses.

ECU students, ECU staff and members of the community are able to join and access their facilities.

ECU Sports Centres have a fantastic range of electronic exercise equipment, free weights and "state of the art" pin loaded equipment. All memberships are supported with unlimited participation in our motivating group fitness classes including yoga, pilates, body pump and more to help member achieve results.

ECU students can access discounted gym membership and are invited to take part in intervarsity sport, the Australian University Games, sporting clubs and sporting trips.


 Student Accommodation:

ECU has on-campus accommodation at the Joondalup, Mount Lawley and Bunbury campuses.

The student villages provide a modern friendly environment in self-catering units for a total of 366 students.

All villages are located on-campus and close to all campus facilities. Local shops and sport and recreation facilities are within walking distance or easily accessible by public transport.
