Universidad Carlos III De Madrid:
The Carlos III University of Madrid Spain is a public university under the jurisdiction of the Spanish Government that was founded in 1989. It is a model of educational integration within the global, unifying concept of Science and Culture. The Carlos III University of Madrid has 3 centres: Faculty of social Sciences and Law on the campuses of Getafe and Colmenarejo; Faculty of Humanities, Documentation and Communication on the campus of Getafe and the Higher Technical School on the campus of Leganés. We offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree courses.

 Courses:

At present, students can study for a range of degrees in Law, Economics and Social Sciences in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law; and in Humanities, Librarianship and Journalism in the Faculty of Humanities, Documentation and Communication. The School of Engineering covers studies in higher and technical engineering.

Masters, Specialist and Doctoral Programs are available in the areas of Humanities, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Studies, Economics, Management, Sociology. Free Spanish courses are also available for Erasmus students.


 Features of the University:

Features of the University1. Modern University Degrees which are flexible and interdisciplinary in order to meet the scientific and technical needs of today's society. Several programs have been designed which make it possible to complete a dual degree (Business Administration, Law and Economics), thus allowing the student to obtain two official BA Degrees.

2. Small groups, with an average of 80 students per class. In the Business Administration and Economics programs, the students have the option of carrying out their coursework in English. In this special group, the courses are given by visiting professors from some of the most prestigious English-speaking Universities in the world.

3. Special importance is given to the post-graduate programs of master and doctorate degrees. In the last Academic year, four of the doctoral programs were officially named by the Minister of Education and Science as High Quality doctorates.

4. The University is especially interested in and supports the incorporation of its graduates in the labour market by promoting contact between the business world and its students. This takes place in the form of internships in companies or public institutions when the students are in their last year of study and is coordinated through the Career Guidance Centre (SOPP).


 Locations:

The towns of Getafe and Leganés are located to the south of Madrid and are 10 km. from the city centre, each of wich has a population of over 150.000, and all the necessary medical, shopping and recreational services. The university campuses of Getafe and Leganés have modern buildings surrounded by wide green spaces. There is easy access from the centre of Madrid by both train and bus. The campus of Colmenarejo is located in the Sierra (mountains) of Madrid, in the town of Colmenarejo. It is an extremely beautiful area and is only 35 minutes from Madrid.
