Pontifical University of Salamanca:
The Department of Spanish as a Foreign Language of the Pontificial University of Salamanca offers a range of flexible courses in Spanish language and culture, covering all levels from beginner to advanced and ranging from two weeks to an academic year. University Spanish language courses are especially recommended to students who would like to study Spanish abroad for a longer time or for whom it is important to obtain an official university diploma. Salamanca is a beautiful city of 160,000 inhabitants in western Spain, 200 kilometres from Madrid.

Our Spanish courses can also be accredited within the European Credit Transfer System. Our teachers have been selected on the basis of academic excellence, professionalism, and experience in teaching in order to guarantee the best results.

Courses in Spanish Language and Culture
The program covers oral comprehension, written comprehension, oral expression, written expression. A level test will be done the first day of the course to classify the students in the different levels. Optional elective subjects of the Course in Spanish Language and Culture Spanish and Hispano-American Literature, Spanish Culture and Civilization, Spanish for Specific Purposes, Spanish Writing Skills.

Optional University Classes (no credits)
Students will have the possibility of taking part as unregistered students (guest listeners) in evening classes of some subjects that are given in the following faculties: Philosophy and Humanities, Theology, Psychology, Media Studies, Computer Science, Education Sciences.

International Diploma in Spanish (D.I.E.)
All those who have knowledge of the Spanish language and wish to obtain recognition of their level of oral communication can take these exams. The 10 levels of the DIE range from elementary to superior, the latter indicates a total command of the language.
