Health Informatics / Medical Informatics professionals are responsible for organizing, analyzing and promoting the use of information in health care. A Health Informatics / Medical Informatics professional understands the use of computerized and manual information systems, and how to store and retrieve healthcare information. Medical Informatics professionals are skilled in healthcare, information science and computer science. This is a growing field and will grow even further due to new data protection laws.
