Azalea Lodge B&B is a red brick period house, built in 1917 and recently renovated to a very high standard maintaining many original features. Azalea Lodge Bed and Breakfast Accommodation is situated on the north side of Dublin city on the main route from the airport to city centre. The family rooms contain two single beds and one double bed. These are also equipped with cable TV. Bathroom is en suite and is equipped with a hair dryer The twin rooms contain two single beds and also contains cable TV. Azalea Lodge is only 10km from Dublin Airport and 2km from city centre. Direction: Upper Drumcondra Road is an extension of the M1 Motorway. The M1 evolves into the N1 as you approach the city from the airport. From the city centre follow the airport signs which will lead you to Upper Drumcondra Road. This leads into the N1 and eventually the main Dublin to Belfast (M1) motorway. On approach from north of the city continue on the M1 until you reach the N1 which then leads into Upper Drumcondra Road. Buses 16a, 41, 41a, 41b, 41c, 33, 746 directly connect to Dublin airport and stop within 100 metres of Azalea Lodge.

Globetrotters Dublin, Ireland

Ideally situated just a 2 minute walk from the main street in Dublin (O'Connell Street) the hostel building itself is very famous. It is 200 years old and was once the home of famous poets and playwrights Mr. Dion Boucicault and Lafcadio Hearne (Koizumi Yakumo). There is a marvellous friendly atmosphere here with hostellers and staff and the hostel is open 24 hours a day all year round. It consists of specially designed dormitories which can accommodate 6, 8, 10 or 12 people. All dormitories have en-suite showers and toilets - the showers are FREE!.

The rooms have pine bunk beds which are custom designed for Globetrotters. All beds have a reading light and are really comfortable. The bed linen is professionally laundered daily. Continental quilts are also included which have been said to be cosy in Winter and refreshingly cool in Summertime.

Bus Route 747 Departs Dublin Airport and services Bus station “Bus Aras”. From Mon –Sat, the first bus is at 5.45am and then every 10 mins until 19:40 when the buses come less frequently. On the Sundays, the first bus is at 7.15am. From the central bus station, walk around by the large building on your left (Dublin;s Custom House). Follow the path along by the river liffey. Cross the river at O’Connell Bridge and turn right along Aston Quay past USIT travel agents. At Merchants Arch, turn left into Temple Bar. We are located on Temple Lane.
