Azalea Lodge B&B is a red brick period house,
built in 1917 and recently renovated to a very high
standard maintaining many original features.
Azalea Lodge Bed and Breakfast Accommodation is
situated on the north side of Dublin city on the
main route from the airport to city centre. The
family rooms contain two single beds and one double
bed. These are also equipped with cable TV. Bathroom
is en suite and is equipped with a hair dryer The
twin rooms contain two single beds and also contains
cable TV. Azalea Lodge is only 10km from Dublin
Airport and 2km from city centre. Buses serving
Dublin City centre and Dublin Airport are available
from outside every 20 minutes.

Upper Drumcondra Road is an extension of the M1
Motorway. The M1 evolves into the N1 as you approach
the city from the airport. From the city centre
follow the airport signs which will lead you to
Upper Drumcondra Road. This leads into the N1 and
eventually the main Dublin to Belfast (M1) motorway.
On approach from north of the city continue on the
M1 until you reach the N1 which then leads into
Upper Drumcondra Road.
Buses 16a, 41, 41a, 41b, 41c, 33, 746 directly connect
to Dublin airport and stop within 100 metres of
Azalea Lodge. |

Ideally situated just a 2 minute walk from the
main street in Dublin (O'Connell Street) the hostel
building itself is very famous. It is 200 years
old and was once the home of famous poets and playwrights
Mr. Dion Boucicault and Lafcadio Hearne (Koizumi
Yakumo).
There is a marvellous friendly atmosphere here with
hostellers and staff and the hostel is open 24 hours
a day all year round. It consists of specially designed
dormitories which can accommodate 6, 8, 10 or 12
people. All dormitories have en-suite showers and
toilets - the showers are FREE!.
The rooms have pine bunk beds which are custom designed
for Globetrotters. All beds have a reading light
and are really comfortable. The bed linen is professionally
laundered daily. Continental quilts are also included
which have been said to be cosy in Winter and refreshingly
cool in Summertime.
Bus Route 747
Departs Dublin Airport and services Bus station “Bus Aras”. From Mon –Sat, the first bus is at 5.45am and then every 10 mins until 19:40 when the buses come less frequently. On the Sundays, the first bus is at 7.15am. From the central bus station, walk around by the large building on your left (Dublin;s Custom House). Follow the path along by the river liffey. Cross the river at O’Connell Bridge and turn right along Aston Quay past USIT travel agents. At Merchants Arch, turn left into Temple Bar. We are located on Temple Lane

Jacobs Inn is a modern hostel in Dublin's city
centre. We are situated adjacent to the central
bus station, Busaras and Connolly Train Station,
O' Connell St is just 5 minutes by foot and the
lively Temple Bar is a 10 minute walk.
This hostel is the creme de la creme of hostel accommodation
at exceptionally low prices. All rooms are ensuite
with toilet and shower and accommodation is offered
in twin, triple, 4-bed and multi-bed rooms. The
bedrooms are large and spacious and there are safes
in each room.
Facilities in the hostel include: key-card access
to rooms, lift/elevator, Bureau de Change, common
room with television, left luggage and bike storage.
The hostel's restaurant, Boca J's, is open for breakfast,

The Oliver St. John Gogarty hostel is situated

O’Connell Bridge (with O’Connell Bridge and the
‘Spike” behind you) and use the same directions.

The Four Courts offers a 24 hour access/reception, free continental breakfast, internet access, excellent security, laundry facilities and a games room. It also provides Bureau de Change facilities, car parking on request, a lift to all floors as well as a tour desk including car hire.
City centre with easy access to all the major sites of interest. On the edge of the Temple Bar district, you will be next to the best ‘craic’ in the world. We are also beside Ireland’s oldest pub, The Brazen Head.
From the Airport:
There is a taxi rank outside the arrivals hall,
otherwise hop on the no. 748 Bus that goes to
Heuston station and ask to be let off at
Merchants quay.
This stop is right beside our hostel and it will
cost €5.
A cheaper option is the regular bus #41 which
will drop you at O’Connell Street and a short
walk along the river will get you to us. This
bus costs €1.60
From the Bus Station: The No.90 Bus will cost
just €1.10, or a Taxi should cost around €6.00
From The Train Station: The No. 90 bus runs
between both Heuston and Connolly Stations and
it passes right outside our door!
From The Dublin ferry port: Outside the Port you
can get No. 53 or 53A Bus which will leave you
in The City centre, a short walk from the Four
Courts Hostel. If you are driving follow the
signs to the city centre which will lead you to
the south bank of the River Liffey, pass four
traffic bridges and we are on the left!
A good option for large groups is to ask us to
arrange for a private minibus to collect you and
drop you at our doorstep. This costs €7 per
person.
