From the Airport:
Take the rail link direct to Deansgate Station from where we are only a 5 minute walk. Alternatively take the train to Piccadilly, then Metrolink tram to G-Mex and follow directions below.
From G-Mex Metrolink Station:
Cross the tracks and turn left. You will see signs for Castlefield which direct you across the station car park. Take the stairs or lift, past the Roman Fort and down steps into the arena, the hostel is opposite and left under the bridge next to the canal.

YHA Manchester is located in the Castlefield area of the city centre. Pubs, clubs, bars, venues, theatres, art galleries and museums are all within walking distance of our hostel. If, however walking isn't your thing we have an extensive public transport system on our doorstep making anywhere in Manchester easily accessible to our guests. A good job too considering the huge number of things to see and do in and around the city!
This purpose built youth hostel offers en-suite rooms in both dormitory and private accommodation with breakfast included as standard.
Full English, vegetarian or continental breakfasts, picnic lunches and 3-course dinners are available in our spacious Canalside Restaurant. Organic beer and the finest organic wines are available from reception for you to indulge in whilst you dine.

Manchester BackPackers Hostel & BunkHouses
From city centre:
Public Transport: Metrotram to Stretford, walk to the left. Straight through traffic lights, Cromwell Road is the fifth road on the left(Park Gates and telephone box on the corner).
No. 64 is on the right-hand side, just after the side entrance to the park.
Buses 14/15 stop around the corner on Kings Road. No 16 bus stops opposite Longford Park.

Friendly home hostel and group bunkhouses, located close to Manchester United Football Ground, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, The Lowry Centre, The Imperial War Museum and The Trafford Shopping Centre.
2 miles to city centre and Universities. Short walk to city centre buses, Stretford Metrotram station and Chorlton Village.
The bunkhouses are located within a few minutes walk of the Old Trafford stadiums and the BackPackers Hostel is located in a lovely Victorian terraced house overlooking beautiful Longford Park.
A five minute walk across the park leads to the Mersey Valley and The Trans-Pennine Way (a cycle, riding & walking trail leading from Liverpool to Hull).
Longford Park was the home of John Ryland, Manchester's first cotton millionaire. The hostel was formerly the home of his son William Ryland.
