Tennessee is famous for its musical heritage. Elvis lived in Memphis in the Graceland Mansion. Visitors may visit the mansion and pay their respects in the Meditation Garden. West Tennessee is a history enthusiast's paradise and is
home to many historic districts (one with 80 homes on
the Register of Historic Places), Civil War
battlefields, living history demonstrations, and
prehistoric Indian sites, as well as antique shops,
museums. It is bordered by Missouri and Arkansas, and is
where most of the state's cotton is grown between the
Mississippi River on the west and the beautiful
Tennessee River on the east.
