 Archibat is looking for an architect for a famous awarded mid size uk architecture practice for their new set up shanghai branch. This international firm has been known for numerous high profile projects all over europe and later in asia thanks to their japanese office. They now want to expand in china and they recently open a new branch in shanghai (2011). Job role: 1. Advise on local codes, regulations and general practice in china; 2. Preparation of reports in various project stages; 3. To carry out works for design development (or preliminary design 初步设计) ; 4. To coordinate with london design team, and ldis on daily basis to ensure the design intent and clients’ objectives are met; 5. To review construction documents and to ensure the drawings comply with the design intent. 6. | Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | 1. Professional degree in architecture. 2. 5-8 years of architectural design experience in mixed use, commercial, residential and workplace projects; solid experience with modern style buildings is important; with understanding of international design practice is a plus. 3. Must possess strong detailing ability. 4. Proficient verbal and written communication skills in english. 5. Proficiency in autocad, graphic editing and standard office software is required; experience in microstation is a plus. 6. Must be effective team players and leadership, excellent collaboration and project management skills. 7. Solid experience in chinese construction practices and the management of projects in china; excellent familiarity with chinese building code; experience in preparing specification is a plus. plus. |
