Job Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously; fully understanding our clients’ business, technology, and objectives, and having a clear vision for helping our clients achieve their objectives.  The Program Manager must be an excellent problem solver and have the talents to manage all aspects of program/project leadership, resource supervision, staffing, quality control, forecasting and budgetary control, as well as all aspects of project monitoring, reporting and conflict management.  In addition, the Program Manager is responsible for building and enhancing our relationships with our clients including defining new (and follow-on) value-added solution opportunities for us to pursue with them.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
•          Approve program/project staffing and have overall responsibility for consulting resources deployed at a client site.
•          Review and approve key program/project deliverables including the Project Management Plans (PMP’s), status reports, executive presentations, final reports, and other key program/project deliverables.
•          Monitor program’s/projects’ progress against the proposed plans including budgets, timelines, quality criteria, risk and issue management, etc.
•          Report status to executive management.
•          Approve and oversee any physical resources required for a program/project including recruiting and dismissing of staff.
•          Ensure that all quality control activities are performed in a disciplined manner and in accordance with the PMP.
•          Develop follow-on and new business opportunities within client accounts.
•          Manage and communicate the ongoing scope and status of the project with the client; when required, resolve any conflicts between the various objectives of its stakeholders.
•          Collaborate with senior and cross-team management on complex issues impacting the programs/projects.
•          Provide leadership to a diverse team of technical and functional staff.
•          Develop and articulate IT and business strategies to support business needs.
•          Utilize methodologies and best practices to ensure the greatest services value to our clients.
•          Contribute to enhancing Firm’s internal methodologies, policies, procedures, and processes.
•          Lead the development of proposals and/or responses to solicitation documents for new initiatives with clients and prospects.

•          Ability to keep the client in control of delivered work including changes.

Qualification Requirements
Required Education Level:
•          Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in a Related Discipline
Required Experience:
•          15+ years total professional experience
•          8+ years managing programs or projects
•          5+ years experience working in a systems integration consulting (or similar) organization
•          4+ years experience managing application development projects
•          Strong knowledge of/experience with formal, structured software development and management methodologies such as RUP, IEEE, PMBOK
•          2+ years experience with IT production support processes
•          Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
•          Strong communication skills
•          4+ years experience with hands-on client/employee relationship building
•          4+ years experience leading or assisting with new business development efforts
•          2+ years experience developing proposals/responding to solicitation documents (e.g., RFP’s)
•          Ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications
Desired Education Level:
•          Master of Arts or Sciences in a Related Discipline.
Desired Experience:
•          5+ years experience managing large, complex programs/project greater than $10 million
•          5+ years managing programs, projects, or organizations of 50+ people
•          4+ years experience managing web development projects
•          4+ years experience designing and developing software
•          2+ years experience with public sector clients strongly preferred
•          Delivering services with mixed nationalities in project and client teams.
•          Delivering services in the Middle East.

•          Abilities:
o          Able to write effectively from a blank sheet of paper to a comprehensive deliverable required in project management performance areas.
o          Able to manage client expectations to ensure deliverable acceptance after work effort is expended.
o          Able to proactively balance client quality with internal quality demands to build quality in rather than having to correct things at the end

Certifications or Training:
•          PMP or equivalent required.
•          Related certifications are desirable.
•          Formal training in methods used for Project Management would be advantageous.
