| My objective is to travel and teach English as a foreign language I have been working for the same company for almost 15 years. It has been an interesting journey from the factory floor across to purchasing and sales order processing, into database administration and coordination of sales offices to stores person and now English teacher. I have learnt a great deal on the way, from problem solving to project implementation. I have learned to deal with people from different levels in the company and from different countries. I have travelled to France, Sweden and the USA to help out in our different sales offices. | |
| My Key Skills: | I have gained many skills during my different jobs. I pick new skills easily and quickly. I am then able to pass this knowledge onto others. I use Microsoft Office suite on a daily basis, but I also use Open Office and Libra office at times too. I have been teaching English as a foreign language in Pickering for over 2 years now. The TEFL course in Prague helped me a lot. I can now prepare much more interesting entertaining lessons and we all have a great deal of fun. It helps that I have a sales and technical background as I can relate totally to the staff here. I recently spent a day in one of the local high schools giving talks on Christmas. The history behind it and what it means to people in the UK these days. It was a great experience and I am looking forward to doing it again I attend teacher training conferences as often as I can in order to top up and refresh my skills. The last one I attended was in Brno on the 30th March. I attended seminars on how to teach English through the medium of songs. How to get students past the fear of writing and how to teach phrasal verbs. All very interesting topics for me. |
