 The Necessary Teacher Training College "DNS" in cooperation with One World UniversityThe education takes its starting point in the world today. Our programs contain the training of essential life skills not only for development work, also for living a meaningful life in the 21st century. It is essentially working on common ground together, helping to secure the ability of others to be productive in society. Coming together with many likeminded people can make the above a reality. Bachelor in Pedagogy It is a 3 years program with different periods: 1st Year. International Practice Field [9 months training in experiencing and understanding the global reality]: 2 months preparation for a 4 months bus travel. 4 months bus travel through Sahara to a number of African countries. 3 months of elaboration and spreading the word to people in Europe and exams. 3 months training in saving up money, with employment and own organization to collectively accumulate the most money. 2nd Year. The European practice Field [6 months training in experiencing and understanding the European reality]: 6 months training in experiencing and understanding the European reality. Starting with one week planning in OWU Denmark. Seeking employment as workers in factories and in other workplaces training to be working and living in a group and to function in a bigger European town, Living a rich and active cultural and political life continued studies and organizing cultural events for work mates and others. Finalizing exam in some subjects. 3 months studying Pedagogical Specializations in OWU Denmark, starting to zoom in on the School Practice Field. 3 months training in doing what you find most appropriate to do. Identity between idea and action, between knowing and doing, is a precondition to make things happen. 3rd Year. The school Practice Field [12 months training in experiencing and understanding the reality of children and teachers in school, with connected theoretical studies]: 8 months working as substitute teachers, teaching children and young in different European schools settings, practicing pedagogy, studying theoretical subjects and specializations after school hours and during weekends. 4 months studying Pedagogical Specializations at OWU Denmark, ending with 1 month of final exams. 1 feedback week at year end. Economy: To enroll to this program You need to come for a weekend to our school and pay the enrolment fee of 550 EUR. During the program You are working in order to raise money for covering living costs as well as program expenses. Exception is 1st year. To start a program, you have bring the money for the school fees of first year, or join the saving up period before and earn the money here in Denmark. In that case you must come as soon as possible. There is a preparatory weekends every month where we open the doors for all interested people. We explain you the program, we arrange that you can try social work with students with special needs in Tvind, you´ll try to cook a meal for many people, you talk, make sports and have evening programs with DNS´ers and teachers and finally you can have a one-to-one meeting and maybe enroll for this year´s DNS team or next year´s team.
