This is a large campus of a group of schools based in Al Ain. The school has a large Emirati population, which is about 70% with 30% expats. The majority of the teaching staff are expats from UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The facilities in this school are great with interactive whiteboard and computers in nearly every classroom. It has a very large canteen as well as sports grounds and a swimming pool. There is a very good vibe from the teaching staff where everyone is quite supportive. Teachers with IB experience have an advantage of coming to this school as it is now a candidate IB school on its way to being accredited. The school promotes professional development of its teachers spending about $2700 on each teacher that joins. If you don’t have IB experience but are a strong fit for this school, the school will look to put you on the training. In addition every week there is a professional development class run for all teachers so it’s a great chance to expand and develop your own career. The campus is located fairly central and accommodation is not too far away (keeping in mind Al Ain is a fairly small place). | Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | ** M.Ed, B.Ed or a Bachelors Degree in Maths with a teaching qualification ** Minimum Years Exp. 2 Years ** Must be Western Trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland Ireland, Australia, NZ & SA) ** Must be a native speaker of English ** Be proficient in MS Office Applications & use of interactive whiteboard ** Have a comprehensive grasp of the current education initiatives, practice and thinking ** Experience of the IB curriculum is preferred |
