| Description The Solution Architect role is to assure the successful execution of the client's business mission through development and deployment of leading ICT solutions. This requires envisioning the client's services, insight into client's business, leading architecture planning, technology roadmaps and coordinating technology consultants in the design and implementation of ICT solutions while planning for risk and growth. Responsibilities o Ability to Architect complex infrastructure solutions for real-time gaming. o Ability to mentor consultants and provide technical leadership within division. o Ability to identify opportunities and risks for delivering the client's services including identification of complementary services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success. o Identify technology trends and evolving social behaviour that may support or impede the success of the business. o Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the client's services. o Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services. o Participate as a member of the division's technical leadership team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization's resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of infrastructure services, network, server and application solutioning. o Collaborate with the appropriate divisions to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs. o Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide ICT plans in specific technology tracks. o Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan. o Communicate the technology strategy and architecture to client's management, staff, and stakeholders. o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices. Publish technology papers. articles and blogs. o Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the division. o Engage stakeholders and present in forums on technical solutions and best practices. o Ensure client's technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner. o Position Requirements o Degree and post graduate degree in computer science/ engineering preferable. o 10 years or more experience with 5 years or more as a Solution Architect or similar capacity. o Experience in designing and managing large ICT projects. o Deep understanding of one or more infrastructure technical disciplines in Technologies (such as Network, Messaging, Client Technologies, Server, Software Development, Security, Database) with breath of solutioning experience. | |
