 Dunedin HospitalApplications are invited from suitably qualified Gastroenterologists for a permanent position with Southern DHB. Our department is looking for an energetic Gastroenterologist to join our current team of one full-time Clinician and two Joint Clinical Appointees. Dunedin’s Gastroenterology Department is expanding its services and the current team of dedicated staff are looking for a dynamic professional to work with them to achieve these goals. You will experience a range of patients that will allow you to build on your current experience and who at times will challenge you. This is a Clinical position so you will have proven experience with a range of procedures providing excellent care to patients. Your regular schedule will include participation in the 1:4 on-call roster, attending weekly outpatient clinics and travelling to the Southern DHB’s satellite hospitals in the Otago region for out-patient work. Dunedin hospital has a close relationship with Otago University Medical School so you’ll have opportunities to pass on your knowledge through training and support of the advanced trainee Registrar, House Officers and medical students. There is also potential for you to access the research and support facilities provided by the University.
