This is an exciting opportunity to work on the most interesting projects in current HealthCare Information Technology for one of the best hospitals in the country, helping to manage databases for Web Development Department and creating web based applications for the hospital Intranet and Internet. The successful candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills, solid understanding of Web technologies and SQL Server Administration and Development, best practices and standards and ability to operate across multiple teams and environments. Must have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with solid experience designing and managing SQL Server databases. In addition to DBA skills, we require hands-on knowledge and experience with any of the following technologies: -Sharepoint 2007/2010 Administration, -Web Application development using ASP.NET/C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript -Web System Administration of MS IIS Web server Responsibilities: SQL Server Database installation, maintenance, and support; creation and modification of database storage structures and objects; capacity planning; managing user access to databases; monitoring and optimizing database performance and availability; planning and execution of dat recovery; technical support for development activities, including logical and physical database design, development of database stored procedures, data interfaces and SSRS Reports. Full lifecycle development or administration, including design, implementation, maintenance, configuration and testing of multi-tier web and integration applications. Work on multiple projects and manage time effectively. Provide technical support to other analysts and end users. Write technical system requirements and maintenance documentation of projects. | Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable Internet and Intranet web application. 3+ years of SQL Server database design, development and administration experience. Experience developing and supporting reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Microsoft and other technical certifications not required but highly desired. Health care IT experience is not required but highly desired. Excellent independent judgment, strong communication skills and the ability to approach problems from the customer's perspective. Quality oriented - methodological, detail and deadline-oriented, reliable. A passion for innovation and desire to continue learning about internet trends and technologies. Should have a strong, experienced leadership personality and is expected to lead and mentor other team members |
