Our client is seeking a Solution Architect to join the development team responsible for delivering, maintaining, and evolving their web site and supporting software solutions. Candidates should have current and advanced experience designing solutions with the Microsoft .NET Framework and SQL Server, and have intermediate to advanced experience with XML processing and Web Services technology. Responsibilities: -Translating requirements into functional and technical designs that will be used in the overall solution delivery. -Providing high quality expertise in software development principles, approaches and procedures to effectively support the development of web applications in a .NET environment. -Participating in the development of the future vision, providing leadership in the technical direction of projects. -Performing research and development on new and evolving technologies and practices as needed to ensure applications evolve over time. -Ensuring application architecture is aligned with the enterprise architecture. -Performing a leadership/mentoring role within the development team. | Skills / Industry Qualifications Required: | Required skills: -Broad industry experience including data architecture planning and management and associated methods and processes -Experience as a technical leader on client server or web-based projects -Experience in systems analysis and design in a client server or web-based development environment -Experience in designing applications in a Microsoft Windows Server environment -Experience in using .Net Technology in an MS SQL Server environment -Experience with enterprise architecture -Experience with application design patterns -Experience with service oriented architecture -Experience with facilitation of requirements/design work sessions. -Experience performing architectural analysis, recommending improvements for development projects -Experience determining coding standards across development projects -Experience guiding usability practices on more than one development project -Experience in a mentorship role on development projects -Experience with iterative development paradigms -Experience with unit testing, test-driven development and tools -Experience in an environment with continuous integration (TFS Build, MSBuild or equivalents |
