| We are Valeria, Jesica, Nely, Roxana and Armin.
We form the “primary team” of coordinators who maintain Voluntario Global on a daily basis. Furthermore, we talk to and liaise with the various coordinators from the different community centres in which the activities that we develop take place.
Our job includes:
Communicating with other centres about our activities
Communicating and co-ordinating with our volunteers
Creating new volunteering programmes and opportunities
Promoting our volunteer programmes
Completing the administration for the donations that our organisation receives
Playing an integral, hands-on part in the programmes we offer
We are a community-based organisation. We work in grass roots development in impoverished districts and shanty towns in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Our main objective is to promote a lasting change in the lives of the families that live there. We aim to:
» Improve the quality of life and promote means to obtaining help and resources.
» Offer solutions or alternatives to immediate daily problems, through education, health aid and employment.
» Raise awareness, understanding and acceptance of these communities’ traditions and values, by promoting experiences giving cross-cultural exchange.
» Create bonds of solidarity, friendship and acceptance among the three stakeholders (State, private enterprise and civil organization) whilst respecting their common interests.
