MediaKids Academy is a Thai organization that aims to improve the English pronunciation and conversation skills of Thai children by organizing a “Teaching English by Native English Speakers” program for Thai government schools across the country. As a placement agency, we have partnerships with over fifty local schools and have placed over 1,000 foreign teachers in the last few years.
As the world has become more industrialized, English has become one of the most important forms of communication. At MediaKids Academy, we recognize the importance of educating the young generation to become knowledgeable and competent in the English language so that they can effectively communicate and collaborate with those of other nationalities. Not only do we aim to place teachers in our partner schools, we also emphasize on high-quality teaching techniques. To fully and adequately prepare our teachers, we provide a four-day training that emphasizes the use of curriculum, lesson planning, class management, school expectations, and Thai cultural etiquette.
Our Visions
Although it has been six years MediaKids Academy was founded, our focus and goal of providing quality teachers with a deep understanding and knowledge of the English language to local schools in Thailand has remained our priority. It is also our goal to maintain contact with our schools and foreign teachers to better help them adjust to each other’s culture and ways of life. As all Thai students learn English from Thai teachers, most students are usually familiar with grammatical aspects of the English language. Our goal is to improve the students’ confidence and ability in basic communication in English.
History
MediaKids Academy was founded in 2000 as a computer and music school in cooperation with Sri-Siam Language School. At that time, MK provided schools with English Camps and began developing the idea of “Teaching English by Native Speakers” to offer to the more remote, less developed areas of Thailand that were off the regular tourist beaten path. In 2001, we expanded our programs in the Northeastern provinces.
Over the next three years, we evolved into a more respected and reliable company that met the demands of Thai local schools in finding experienced and quality English teachers. In 2004, as we grew significantly, MK opened a new office in Bangkok to offer a more convenient ‘home base’ location for the teachers and staff. It also allowed us to expand our programs to other partner schools in and outside the city. We solidify our organization by recruiting a strong team of Thai nationals with a deep understanding of foreign cultures. Currently, MediaKids Academy has over 50 partner schools and has recruited over 1,000 foreign English teachers. Our goal is to constantly improve our programs to satisfactory meet the needs of the schools, students, and teachers. MK has developed a solid reputation within the Thai public school system
Mediakids Academy is aims to

-Continue to enhance positive relationships with the Thai public schoolsand foreign teachers
-Continue to implement our programs to better suit the needs of theschools, students, and teachers.
-Provide continual support and guidance to our foreign teachers in anyareas, be it professional or personal
