On 28th April 2008, System Protection and Maintenance Sdn. Bhd. (Spm), Malaysia and Eastern Projects Contracting Company (Epcc), Saudi Arabia signed an agreement to established a joint venture. The joint-venture company named system protection and maintenance sdn bhd (ksa) (saudi registration No. 2051037605) is located in Al-Khobar.
With such perfect combination of SPM and Epcc, Spm (ksa) is to become a reputable engineering and construction contractor specializing in Power Plants, Oil & Gas and Industrial facilities in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
SPM (Malaysia) was established primarily to provide equipment inspection, supply, design, installation, testing and commissioning as well as operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment along the fields of power generation, transmission and distribution, and industrial installation.
Along the years, SPM (Malaysia) has actively ventured in numerous, areas, expanding in size as well as offering a wider range of services in the engineering field. Engaging in turkey projects, SPM (Malaysia) executes Engineering Procurement, Construction and Commissioning of Power Plants and has participate in the construction and commissioning of new power plants like the Janamanjung 3X700MW Coal Fired Plant, and Tanjung Bin 3X700MW Coal Fired Plant which located in Malaysia. SPM (Malaysia) has also undertaken numerous turkey contracts on transmission sub-station projects in the range of 132kV and 275kV as well as installation contracts on 500kV Switchyards.
