Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) is an international multidisciplinary consulting organization in engineering, architecture, planning, environment, project and construction management, and economics. Founded in 1956, the firm’s activities expanded rapidly within the Middle East. During the 1970’s, operations were expanded into Africa and subsequently in Asia and Europe. Dar Al-Handasah is a private company owned by working partners and completely independent of any interests in the fields of construction, contracting, or manufacturing.
The Firm has maintained a position among the world’s top international engineering design and supervision consultants since the early 1980’s. Its principal design head offices and technical support facilities are located in Cairo, Egypt; Beirut, Lebanon; London, UK and Pune, India, and with a network of permanent local offices throughout the Middle East, Africa, Central-Eastern Europe, CIS and Asia.
