| Women for Women International is a humanitarian and development assistance organization that provides women survivors of war with direct aid, psychosocial support, rights awareness and life skills education, market-based vocational skills training and income generation assistance to help them become active citizens in rebuilding their families and communities. Since 1993, Women for Women International has assisted more than 195,000 women, benefiting more than 831,000 family and community members. The organization has distributed over $79 million in direct aid and micro-credit loans. Women for Women currently operates in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sudan. |
