Operations manager – al kobaisi readymix & block factory
A local producer of readymix concrete with a monthly production of 20,000 m³ is seeking for an Operations Manager
Duties will include:
The Operations Manager's responsibilities include management of the activities directly or indirectly involved in the readymix concrete production such as materials procurement; concrete plant performance and maintenance; vehicle performance and maintenance; total risk management of plants, vehicles, and sites; timely deliveries of readymix concrete; minimizing operating costs by having sequence and programme works; and other duties as assigned by management. The Operations Manager will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the Operations Department of the 2 plant sites and all the other departments in the Al Kobaisi Readymix & Block Factory.
The engineer will be expected to be capable of performing or assisting with the under noted duties.
A) Sequence and programme works
B) Have knowledge of programme types
C) Production of procurement schedules
D) Production of pre-delivery programmes, delivery programmes, post-delivery programmes and have an understanding of interfaces and co-ordination with other departments and the clients.
E) Be capable of using judgment as to priorities
F) Have an understanding of and be able to contribute to Total Risk Management at Production plant and Delivery Site.
H) Ability to survey, evaluate and report on existing plant set-up both physical, manpower and procedures.
I) Have an understanding of current Readymix Concrete production Regulations and Ministry requirements.
J) Undertake regular plant visits as required by the execution of his duties |
Skills Required:: |
The Candidate should have a minimum: Relevant degree (BSc, BEng, BSMEng); 5 years experience of readymix concrete production work, Office and site experience, Previously held a similar position, Experience of being in charge of a minimum of 20 staff, Capable of programming and planning, Ability to produce reports, Capable of working with minimum supervision, Ability and willingness to manage two plant sites, Adept with Microsoft Office programmes, Good literacy and numeracy skills essential, Ability to meet deadlines, Ability to cope up with plant or vehicle shutdown and troubleshooting, Excellent communications skills. |
