| Job Description: |
The Business Analyst will take a leading role in investigation, analysis, documentation and reporting on the business requirements of various aspects of my clients Worldwide business. This will include understanding the business process outputs and to be able to assist external suppliers and internal users in development and implementation, including resolution of issues and capture of further requirements.
The post holder will be proficient in both process modelling and data analysis/modelling.
In addition to working closely with Programme Office, the post holder will need to interact with the Development and Testing teams.
Key Areas:
- Produce and define business requirements with business stakeholders; documenting requirements using agreed templates and tools.
- Produce UML models, diagrams and narrative (using UML)
- Define analysis work packages in co-operation with Project Managers and others
- Assist Project & Programme Managers in managing and documenting cross domain analysis issues
- Lead the issues resolution process with suppliers and users
- Quality assure business analysis deliverables

Person Specification:
Essential Competencies
At least 3 years experience and technical understanding of the theory and practice of the following:
- Collation and articulation of requirements information from a variety of sources, e.G. Via interviews, workshop and published material
- Problem Solving
- Use own initiative
- Work unsupervised and under pressure
- Ability to rapidly assimilate broad business requirements and to then identify and focus on specific and/or detailed issues leading to resolution
- Practical experience of software development processes e.G. RUP
- Working from and developing scenarios and user requirement
- Using case tools – Enterprise Architect, Rational Rose Modeller and Requisite Pro
- Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Understanding of Project Management procedures
