The Company:
One of the world¡¦s leading international construction groups, with worldwide diversified activities, offering a full range of services in engineering and construction projects such as pipelines, seawater intakes and outfalls, desalination facilities; electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works to name but a few are now seeking the above for multi million dollar project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Project:
Jeddah 4 Flue Gas Desulphurization Project is concerned with the provision of Electrostatic Precipitators, Air Heaters and a Seawater Desulphurization facility complete with all associated ancillary equipment, installed on an existing operational plant.
The existing plant consists of 5 boilers producing 500,000 Nm3/hr of Flue Gas each, which will pass through new Electrostatic Precipitators designed to work at 95% efficiency, 60% of this Flue Gas will be treated by the Seawater Desulphurization process before being mixed again with the remaining 40% at the base of the Chimney Stack.
New Air Heaters are to be installed on the existing boilers to increase the efficiency of the burning of the Heavy Fuel Oil.
The Seawater Desulphurization process consists of two absorbers, designed to receive 900,000Nm3/hr of Flue Gas each; seawater at the rate of 18,000m3/hr will be pumped through each absorber to remove SO2. The SO2 will be neutralized by mixing with seawater at the rate of 68,000m3/h while passing 72,000m3 of air through it.
The associated equipment required primarily consists of Booster Fans, Electrical Switchgear, Control Systems, Soot Handling and Storage, extension to Fire suppression and Fire Fighting systems.
Main Specification:
„X Familiar with Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP) and Seawater Desulphurisation (FGD) and their associated systems. (Pumps, Switchgear, Fans, etc) and to have worked on the commissioning of similar systems previously.
„X Being familiar with commissioning of New Plant into an existing plant would be an advantage.
„X To have worked within the field of commissioning and will have been in a similar responsible position.
„X Previous experience working within Multi-National teams desirable as well as overseas, especially within the Middle East region.
„X To have experience of Commissioning within a Clients structured system would be desirable.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
Languages:
Must have good English.

The salary offered will be dependant on skills and experiences.
