One of the world’s leading international construction groups, with worldwide diversified activities, offering a full range of services in engineering and construction projects such as major ports and container terminals, berths, jetties and all types of maritime structures; pipelines, seawater intakes and outfalls, dredging, reclamation and shore protection; water and sewerage networks; power and desalination facilities; electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works; bridges, roads and railroads, sports facilities and dams to name but a few are now seeking the above for multi million dollar bridge projects in the UAE.
Responsibilities:
Assisting site engineers to inspect the Permanent Works, including delivered materials, in order to verify conformance with the contract quality requirements. Co-ordinating the inspection and test requirements on behalf of the QC Section Head with the client. Implement quality inspection procedures on construction activities, suppliers, sub-contractors to ensure compliance internal Company audits and ISO standards. Ensure that the documentation generated by the inspections, tests and surveys meets the requirements of this plan.
Complete relevant forms and prepare reports on inspections and tests undertaken for inclusion in, and maintenance of, inspection records. Communicating effectively with the client at your level.
The prospective candidates should: Have B.Sc. in Engineering, (or equivlant Technical Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Welding etc.), with site experience in quality inspection activities.Have medium level technical knowledge and understanding of execution methodology.
Have good communication skills. Have knowledge of Codes and Standards. Have 2 Years QC experience or successful completion of specialised courses (CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2, PCN, ERS, AWS). Have excellent knowledge of English.
Experience of working within international environment would be an asset.
