Preschool/Kindergarten Teachers Needed in Prague.
Sunny Canadian School is looking for fun and enthusiastic preschool and kindergarten teachers for our English School.
About us:
Sunny Canadian School is a small private English Kindergarten and Elementary school located about 20 minutes outside of Prague in the Czech Republic. We are looking for teachers to teach our 2-3 year old class, 3-4 year old class and 4-5 year old class. The position would require planning circle time and project activities based around weekly themes.
We offer many services to our teachers, and for those teachers who are new to the Czech Republic, we offer many services to help you get settled. Some are: airport pick up, help finding accomodation, introductory trip to the grocery store, a survival language lesson, and a public transpotation tour. We will also help you to obtain your work and residence visas once you arrive. We offer a very competitive salary compared to most schools in the area, which will allow you a very comfortable lifestyle as well as some extra money for travelling in your time off.
About you:
We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic, creative teacher who is interested in living in a historical, culture-filled eastern European city for one school year minimum (Mid August 2007 – July 2008). All applicants must be native speakers of the English language. An adventurous spirit is helpful, but Prague is an easy city to live in, and anyone can adapt to life here. Many people speak English here, so no knowledge of Czech language is required. Our school has an abundant supply of resources to help with planning, and we will provide a curriculum structure for all teachers, but we are looking for creative fun teachers who are able to plan exciting classroom activities that the children enjoy. A teaching certificate is preferred, but experience will also be considered. Experience teaching young children is a requirement to be considered for the position.
Compensation:
*25, 000+ Czech Krowns per month (=$1250+/- per month which is a VERY, VERY liveable wage due to the economy)
*25-30 hours per week, weekdays only, before 4pm.
*paid vacation time and health insurance once you have received your residence visa.
