Overall responsibilities

As part of a dedicated team, you will report to another Senior Trust & Company Administrator to assist in the preparation of trust and company minutes, related documents covering all general matters that arise in connection with the entities under administration and to correspond with relevant persons.

You will be expected to be conversant with all aspects of the duties discharged by a Company Secretary and a Trustee, which involves being familiar with various pieces of legislation in different jurisdictions and attending training courses on related subjects organised both internal and external.

Specific Responsibilities

•To be aware of and follow statutory requirements and procedures relating to the work carried out by the Company Secretarial Department including current anti-money laundering procedures within the office
•To be responsible for the incorporation of Company’s including the post inaugural documentation in various jurisdictions
•To be responsible for the establishment of Trusts
•The preparation of all records relevant to the maintenance and good standing of Company’s and Trusts
•Assist with new business enquiries
•Attend to the maintenance of computerised statutory records and safe custody registers
•In conjunction with the other Senior Trust & Company Administrator, assist with the ongoing training of the Administrators and Administrative Assistants
•To deputise for the other Senior Trust and Company Administrators when required to
•To assist in the review of all records presently held for companies and trusts
•To participate in departmental meetings and assist in the formulation of reports for those meetings

Type of person required

•Applicants must have been in Jersey for more than 5 years
•A high degree of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines are of the utmost importance
•Possess the ability to produce accurate written records with the minimum of supervision
•Possess good communication skills
•Willingness to comply with Company procedures and to work as part of a small and specialised team
•Be willing to learn and have an enthusiastic attitude towards their work
•Be willing to attend internal and external training sessions
•Be familiar with Alchemy software (although training will be provided)
•Possess good general IT skills

Education/professional qualifications required

•Have a good level of education and having attained a Category B qualification or be studying towards attaining this
