Due to our continuing expansion we now require a Senior Design Architect with experience on a variety of projects to work in our Oman office.
Working in a multidiscipline team of designers and engineers providing a comprehensive service to our clients, this is a great opportunity to gain experience within an internationally renowned consultant, affording the opportunity to work on large and small scale multidiscipline projects, in Oman and the rest of the Middle East region.
The Sultanate of Oman is one of the most beautiful countries in the Middle East. It has a reputation for safety and stability and is popular with young families. It offers good schooling, shopping, and excellent recreational facilities including outdoor pursuits.
Requirements
Degree qualified – minimum requirement of B.Arch, M.Arch or B.Sc in Architecture (minimum 5 to 6 years of university study)
8 to 12 years post graduate experience.
Understanding of British, American and International design standards
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role – experience of working within a contractor environment is additionally welcome
Reasonable working knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD, 3D Studio, Photoshop, and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English essential
Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential
Able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a proactive way
