Job Profile
With minimal guidance and direction, the Inside Sales Engineer works with Field Sales and Service Engineers and Product Support staff of the particular Country or Sales Area to promote, sell and support products, with a strong focus on application assistance and troubleshooting.
The Inside Sales Engineer cooperates within a large Customer Service Team with colleagues of different levels/positions. The ISE must be able to provide the highest level of technical support in the team.
Able to answer expertly field questions about products and services.
Independently answer sales enquiries for Company flow-metering products and their application, whether received by telephone, fax, e-mail or letter.
Size and select products appropriate to customer needs and prepare price and delivery within approved guidelines thus providing a commercial and compliant quotation in accordance with the customer and company’s requirements.
Provide technical and application assistance to customers.
Provide after sales service including troubleshooting assistance to customers.
Give priority to quotation effort, to maximise conversion rate, improve focus on any sales campaigns run in the territory, follow up on quotations as agreed, arrange customer visits as required, and ensure quote monitoring system is kept up to date.
Answer customer queries to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Provide information for marketing gathering on competitor activity.
Ensure that all departmental operating procedures are adhered to.
Identify discrepancies within the procedures.
Maintain and complete accurate sales records.
Track and report quote cycle-time trends as required.
Check the details of specific certification requirements, quality plans etc.
Generate and follow-up of Customer Experience Register forms (‘complaints’) to improve internal processes and ultimately quality of service supplied to customers.
Carry-out export compliance screening according to QMS procedures.
Other activities
Assist with training and developing less experienced ISE’s and other team members to understand customer requirements, product application and company procedures.
Is involved in large projects.

Regional Manager and/or team leader about day-to-day business, frictions, problems and possible solutions
Colleague’s about work, problems and possible solutions and improvements
Field Sales Engineers – to discuss fully the technical and commercial aspects of an enquiry
Field Service Engineers – to discuss technical issues related to products and/or applications
Country Flow Directors – sanction of Strategic Discount
Customers (Engineers, Buyers, end users) - to discuss fully the technical and commercial aspects of an enquiry and closing of sales
CEQ department – to clarify any non-standard engineering requirements
Applications – to clarify any additional technical aspects outside the skill sets of the TF
Production department – to confirm feasibility of time scales etc
Marketing – to ensure product information is supplied to customers, field sales etc
Logistics – to check accurate delivery information is supplied to the customer
Final Assembly, Repair – to check status
Shipping – to expedite deliveries when required
Contract Engineers (customers) – high level technical discussion
Engineering US – engineering information and discussions
Authorities:
Quoting technical descriptions, prizes and delivery dates.
Requesting additional information.
Updating quote monitoring system.
Gathering competition intelligence.
Recommend improvements.
Project handling.
Responsibilities:
Correct and timely quotations.
Appropriate size and selections of products.
Check on specific certification requirements, quality plans, etc.
Adherence to procedures.
Generation and follow-up on CER forms (complaints).
Correct and timely support of the other CST members.
Maintaining up-to-date sales records.
Accurate tracking and reporting of quote cycle time trends.
Candidate Profile
Must be Native French and fluent English
Minimum 2 years experience required in a similar role in a customer service environment.
Technical education (HTS level), preferably electrical engineering, chemistry or industrial automation.
Good communicator
Analytical, accurate, flexible and a team player
Technical experience
Willing to relocate to the region near Ede.
