| Job Description: |
Responsibilities & Requirements:
1. Perform all database administration activities including installation, upgrade, tuning, and back up and recovery.
2. Implement and support development and testing environments.
3. Work closely with development teams to resolve database performance and data issues as necessary.
4. Provide expert assistance in SQL statement tuning to improve performance. Participate in application deployment, data migration and rollout process.
5. Ability to write DBA standards and procedures.
6. Ability to define accurate schedules for all database activities.
Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of Oracle database administration in an enterprise environment.
2. 2+ years experience in SQL development and tuning.
3. 2+ years in Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.
4. 2+ yeas hands on knowledge and experience with Unix or Linux.
5. Experience in installing, upgrading and providing production support for Oracle 9 or 10g on Unix based operating systems.
6. Proficient in implementing backup and recovery strategies.
7. Experience in supporting applications running on Oracle database.
