| Job Description: |
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the technical IT team in UK, India and local ALM countries, on day to day support and global project rollout. Assist Country IT Team in server management, support and planning
- Responsible and manage the operation of the Region Co-location facilities in Kuala Lumpur
- Provide support and manage and coordinate new hosting projects from the region, include new server and application installation
- Maintain internet connections and production servers
- Maintain complete documentation in accordance to set standards and change control procedures
- Pro-actively investigate new technologies and systems that may be of benefit to the facilities
Requirements:
- Possess a degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. MCP or MCSE certified preferable
- Must have 3-6 years experience and minimum of 3 years Windows system administration background or Web development and support roles
- Experience in HTML, Active Server Pages or any web project development and knowledge in scripting langiages
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft server platforms : Window Server 2000, 2003, SQL Server and Internet Information Server (IIS)
- Knowledge in Backup Software
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory and DNS
- Knowledge with LAN/WAN design and device configuration
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux platform, Internet Technologies, Network Security, Firewall and VPN is an additional advantage.
- Possess analytical problem solving and organizational skills
- Demonstrated project planning skills
- Able to work outside normal office hours if required
- Fluent in English, other Asian language is a plus
