| Job Description: |
Our client is one of the world’s largest providers of management and technology consulting services to Global 2000 companies and government organizations in 60 countries.
We have an immediate requirement for Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer for Oracle/Siebel and DBA support for their Bangalore location.
Skills/Characteristics Required:
A strong Applications DBA with minimum of 4 years’ experiences in Oracle and/or Siebel packages, specifically,
•Extensive experiences in installation /upgrades, configuration, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, PL/SQL scripting and diagnostics, etc.
•Experience with Oracle R12 & 11i E-Business Suite
•Knowledge in underlying Oracle Applications database architecture - schemas/products, database objects, file system structure, tables, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences, indexes, and constraints
•In depth understanding of architectural concepts and structures of Siebel applications, including data access control, data exchange mechanisms, work process, and business logic automation capabilities
•Experience with Siebel application navigation, data manipulation and queries and Siebel Tools
•Knowledge of Solaris, Windows & Linux Operating systems
•Ability to clone and migrate the applications to other platforms
•Expertise in monitoring and tuning database resources and activity
•Preferably knowledge and experience with PMTool and BAT (BearingPoint Assessment Tool); but at least ability and willingness to take on DBA support for these tools.
•Strong problem solving ability – ability to quickly trouble shoot and resolve issues
•Ability to open, manage, and resolve Oracle/Siebel SR's
•Must be willing to quickly learn skills required if candidate only possesses Oracle or Siebel DBA skills, but not both.
