HE Space Operations is looking for candidates for the post of Technical Project Lead for the Basic Training re-development in the Astronaut Training Division at EAC. You will report directly to the head of the Basic Training Unit within the Astronaut Training Division at Eac.
Activities:
The ESA Basic Training Programme for Astronauts shall be completely revisited and undergo a major training re-development.
The selected candidate will have the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Development of a project plan for the Basic Training re-development
• Coordinate the implementation ot the Basic Training re-development project
• Update of Training Catalogue lessons
• Support the selection of suitable external organizations with proven expertise to support training development and training implementation
• Support the preparation of the suitable contractual arrangements and control its implementation
• Organize and coordinate the implementation of the Instructor Training Course at EAC for external lesson developers/instructors
• Ensure that all Basic Training material is implemented in the Astronaut Training Database (ATD)
• Control the delivery of training material
• Prepare and organize the Basic Training Course Implementation
• Interface with developers for coordination during the implementation phase
• Ensure proper implementation of training record keeping and training feedback process

Skills Required:: |
We are looking for candidates with a university degree or equivalent in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in an international organisation
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German and another member state language is an asset
• High level of flexibility
• Good organisational skills, good communication skills and a sense of team spirit and co-operation
• Able to cope with pressure
• Proven experience in (astronaut) training development and implementation, manned spaceflight operatios and/or knowledge of the Instructional System Design will be an asset.
