| Job Description: |
The Job:
• Consults with the ITC, software and hardware vendors and others establishment workers to solve problems affecting the stability and effectiveness of the system and security
• Reports significant issues, changes and potentially significant problems in system and security to the MIS Manager, followed by the action plans for rectification
• Perform server troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common application problems.
• Performing preventative maintenance & redundancy on critical servers.
• Enhancing the performance and reliability of the systems & servers.
• Responsible to administer network – LAN and WAN
• Ensure that new version of OS, firewall, anti-virus and any other security related software is up to date
• Provide end user support and training
• Assists in creating and implementing system, security standards, policy, guidelines, and practices
• Security and system administration
• Support mobile interfaces - Blackberry
• Troubleshooting of network related problems and bottlenecks
• Manage, administer disaster recovery site
Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Possess strong technical knowledge & working experience in the following products:
O Windows2000/2003 server system administration & Microsoft related products
O Cisco Network product
O Checkpoint firewall
O Bandwidth optimization product
• Professional certification in MCSE, CCNA, CCSA or/and knowledge in Information Security policy & enforcement will be an added advantage.
• Possess excellent project coordination and good system troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of SAP Basis in Windows environment will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Lotus Domino Administration will be an added advantage.
• Good command of English – written, spoken and reading
• Possess good initiative, interpersonal and excellent communication skills with strong analytical ability
