Structural Steel Design Engineer & Detailer
For Sheikh Zayed Bridge Project – Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job description:
The role will focus on the design and detailing of temporary works for a large and complex bridge project in Abu Dhabi. It involves the guidance, supervision, enhancement of productivity and management of draftsmen.
Design and detailing of temporary works, false-works, site accesses, formwork.
Ability to understand the interface between permanent works design and construction engineering. Study/ evaluate the effect of the construction methods/ temporary work on the permanent works during Bridge Construction.
Liaise with Erection Engineering Sub consultants.
Requirments:
Degree (Civil/Structural) Engineering. Professional Chartership preferred.
A minimum of 5years practical experience in structural engineering, if possible experience in large infrastructure or bridge projects. Practical design experience and direct work with draftsman is an absolute requirement.
Familiar with the design of Steel Structures using computer software (STAAD, etc.). Specific experience designing/detailing temporary works on major Civils Projects.
Presentation ability and command of English
Computer literate with emphasis in spreadsheets, word processing and AutoCAD packages and structural analysis software (STAAD etc.)
