The company:
One of the world’s leading international construction groups with a turnover of $800 million, and worldwide diversified activities, offering a full range of services in engineering and construction projects such as major ports and container terminals, berths, jetties and all types of maritime structures; pipelines, seawater intakes and outfalls, dredging, reclamation and shore protection; water and sewerage networks; power and desalination facilities; electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works; bridges, roads and railroads, sports facilities and dams to name but a few are now seeking suitably experienced professionals. In particular we are seeking a Corporate Quality Manager.
The successful individual will be based in their UAE office and his/her area of responsibility will be throughout the Group. The position entails assisting regional offices and project management teams in Cairo, Riyadh, Dubai, Singapore and Athens amongst others and to implement the integrated management system throughout the Group's operations and to contribute to its development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Implementation, development and improvement of the Group's integrated Management System.
Preparation, issue and amendment of documents in the management system.
Heading the Group's Quality Management Team and regional quality personnel.
Performing or arranging through the regional Quality Managers/Engineers, internal audits of the management system and maintain records of the audits.
Monitor the performance of the management system and reporting to corporate management.
Defining quality targets for projects and offices.
Organizing the recruitment, periodic evaluation and training of all personnel in the Quality Department.
Liaise with independent accredited certification bodies and organize activities for maintaining company’s ISO certification.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from internationally recognized University.
Specialization in Quality Management in the form of Post Graduate studies, and / or specialization seminars.
At least 10 years experience in Quality Management positions in the Construction industry.
At least 2 years experience in top Quality Management position in reputable large organization.
Experience in ISO 9000/ 2000, 14001, 18001 Certification procedures for large organizations.
Excellent knowledge of English language.
Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills in multinational environment.
