The company:
Major International Construction Company of European origin currently expanding its operations in the Middle East. Involved in multi million dollar Building, Infrastructure, Electro-mechanical and Environmental projects.
We are currently in the recruiting mode for Technical Office Managers / Contracts Administrators / Quantity Surveyors for their Qatar operations.
Job description:
Manage contractual issues of Main Contract and 3rd parties from commencement of contractual arrangements until final settlement and discharge of obligations.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and interpret Conditions/obligations under the Main Contract, Sub Contracts and Supply Agreements and advise Project team on liabilities and risks under stated arrangements. Manage and secure Contractors interests (bonds, warrantees, insurances, undertakings, etc) until final discharge of obligations. Detect Variations and Changes to the Contract in liaison with the Quantity Surveyor and prepare, demonstrate, negotiate and follow up of Final Accounts, Variations and Claims, until settlement.
Qualifications:
• At least some experience in dealing with issues described above
• Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree from an accredited Institution (or equivalent).
• Conversant with Standard Methods of Measurement (SMM, CESMM, etc)
• Conversant with FIDIC Contract Conditions
• Estimating and pricing experience will be consider as an advantage
