Position Title: Java Developer Iii (wms)
Location: West Chester, Pa
Reports To: It Project Manager
Responsibilities:
· Modifying UML Models as a result of defects or enhancements requests that cross all phases of the PLC Object-Oriented Track
· Support of new or existing application program software, addressing defects and minor enhancements
· Design, create and unit test application specific services, components and user interfaces
· Develop and test components, in accordance with the adopted standards, for integration into larger subsystems
· Perform software builds and deployment of application code
· Work in the retail and/or distribution business systems including warehouse management software and methodologies
· May serve in one or more of the following roles:
- Developer
Develop new or revised computer programs, ensuring code is maintainable, supportable and performs upon implementation and which meets design specifications. Design / develop user-interface prototypes. Enhance, develop and validate application components. Effectively write use cases using appropriate UML modeling techniques
- Tester
Develop complex test scripts using the functional phase requirements. Communicate test results where appropriate. Create test data with multiple or complex integration points. Define, document and validate complex test case process including entry and exit criteria. With limited guidance, analyze and resolve environmental execution errors
- Business Analyst
Through collaboration with clients, gather the functional and non-functional requirements within the project scope. Participates in the development of complex, quality Functional Specifications on time and within budget that meets or exceeds client requirements. Assist with the development of PRB materials. Assess change requests to determine application functionality and business workflow impacts. Consult with internal customers to identify requirements, model business processes and make recommendations that optimize business/system processes. Ability to document and present complex business issues both written and verbal appropriate to target audience
- General
All new or revised applications and production support will be performed with the goal of zero defects. Resolve production problems as assigned. Manage own task estimates, accurately and consistently utilizes time accounting tools to report actual hours and task status. Communicate variances and/or obstacles in estimates or delivery dates to management in a timely manner. Propose solutions and make recommendations. Follow approved applications and technical architecture standards. Understands Functional, Technical and Build phases of PLC and performs specific tasks as appropriate. Prepare all required documentation following approved Life Cycle standards. Provides coaching and direction to other IT team members. Participate in on call rotation for production systems

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications: Looking for mid to senior level java developers with one or more full life cycle development projects under their belts.
1. At least four (4) years of IT experience
2. At least two (2) years of applications development experience
3. Experience in a variety of testing practices
4. Practical working knowledge of Test Environment and Configuration Processes
5. In-depth working knowledge in one or more of the following: test automation tools, approaches and techniques, data model and file structures and requirements gathering
6. Ability to identify and understand business problems and opportunities
7. Skilled in Object-Oriented Analysis & Design principles, techniques & languages
8. Knowledge of business functions in Warehouse Management Systems
**Desired**
1. XML, J2EE, XSLT, VB, ASP, HTML, UML, C or C++, Shell and PERL Scripts, ClearQuest, and ClearCase
2. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or certificate from an accredited association
