| Job Description: |
The need for ship engineers in Norway at present is huge, but the industry demands that these engineers should have at least 5 years of experience, and should be able to carry out following tasks:
- Steel design, layout, classification drawings, sectional drawing and their related calculations.
- Equipment, general arrangement drawings, decoration etc.
- Machine design, machine room arrangements, diverse arrangements, system design.
- Pipe design in 3D.
Most of these drawings are carried out on Autocad in addition to some other 3D programs, and this varies between projects. Accordingly, the potential employee should have a good knowledge of ships and the various software programs that are utilized.
It is to be noted that training will not be provided at the workplace, as the potential employee should be able to carry out the given task independently.
The job will be based in one of our clients offices / shipyards at one of several locations on the Norwegian coast. |
Skills Required:: |
- Confident in 3D design, using various systems
- Knowledge of ship systems, machine, piping
- Fluent, or at least very good English |
