Job Description
To provide engineering Design Drafting services for Engineering Projects covering
Mechanical, civil, instrumentation and electrical design work related to Oil & Gas
Production and distribution facilities. Ensures that all drawings produced reflect
Economic design, accuracy, and conformity with international and Company
Standards.
Qualification, Experience & Skills
Hnc or Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised Institution or University.
Minimum ten years experience in design drafting work in the relevant engineering discipline related to oil and gas production and distribution facilities and plants.
Thorough knowledge of design drafting on CAD systems, especially Acad (2d & 3d drafting) is essential. General knowledge of engineering documentation software, Windows XP, MS Office, MS Word & Excel is desirable.
Thorough knowledge of drafting aspects of procedures, international standards & specifications (ASME/ ANSI/API) in Oil & Gas piping & associated mechanical, instrumentation, electrical and civil components.
Wide knowledge of materials specifications, current drafting practices, maintenance and construction methods.
Appreciation of the responsibility in producing work of such calibre to preclude costly field modifications.
Capable of preparing the entire layout & detail drawings independently in accordance with Company requirements.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
