| Job Description: |
Our client, is an investment management subsidiary of a U.K. Based bank. It is the largest corporate money manager in the world. Through their regional headquarters in Singapore, they provide local access to world markets for investors in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, India and others.
They are immediately looking for Support Engineer for Singapore location.
Essential skills/background:
• Experience working with complex systems and data
• Programming Knowledge (SQL, SAS, Perl, Schedulers, UNIX, IBM MQ JAVA, Linux) Perl/Java – experience in both preferable - Good Database programming skills
• Sybase preferable
• Strong Unix skills
• Experience of supporting data warehousing technologies
• Sybase IQ preferable
• Night/weekend work will be required (on-call rotation)
Desired skills/background:
• Three to five years experience of working in financial services industry, preferably in banking, investment management
• Knowledge of investment products, specializing in either equity or fixed income is desirable but not essential
• Applicable university or college finance related degree or significant experience in market data production system maintenance
• Strong customer service and teamwork mentality
