Within the bustling capital of Bratislava, just a few kilometers from Vienna, there are countless opportunities for paid teaching work in language schools. These schools are currently opening all over the city to meet the demand for locals seeking careers in the city’s developing companies. As the local economy continues to boom, there couldn’t be a better time to teach English in Slovakia.
Placement Information
Benefits
Salary: Approximately €600 per month
Accommodation: Usually a shared flat with other teachers at the cost of €113 to €140 per month
Arrival: You will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation. You will also be taken to the school within your first couple of days; introduced to your tutor, who will help you throughout your stay; and introduced to the teaching methods of the school. You will receive a one-day orientation
Locations: Bratislava
Contract Length: Nine months
Departure Dates: Departures are available every month, although the majority of placements are available in September
Bonus: Some schools provide bonuses, such as extra money at the end of the course/semester for excellent feedback from the students/customers, or extra money at the end of the stay for the participation in TEFL training programmes/workshops organised by the school during the school year

Skills Required:: |
• You must be a native English speaker of EU nationality, and applications are open to residents of the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
• TEFL qualification (must be enrolled in the i-to-i 100-Hour Combined TEFL Course)
• A university degree is not necessary, but is advantageous
• You will need to submit a lesson plan with your application
