Description
Holiday Auto Rentals Limited has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented Parts Manager. At Holiday Auto, every part sale is an opportunity to demonstrate the superior value of this brand. Every Holiday Auto Parts professional must excel in listening, communicating and working efficiently to Volkswagen standards.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide parts and accessories to new and used vehicle sales, service department, and outside parts clients accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain ongoing contact with key wholesale and retail customers.
Provide a balanced parts and accessories inventory. Maintain acceptable levels of off-the-shelf parts availability.
As appropriate, manage all aspects of the centers wholesale parts program.
Establish with the General Manager realistic sales objectives. Meet monthly targets for retail and wholesale sales.
Increase sales by preparing annual forecasts, adjusting forecasts as needed, and by developing and implementing sales promotions as needed.
Maintain gross profit percentages on parts and accessories sales by establishing departmental parts pricing policies while obtaining a high return on inventory investments.
Manage inventory investments by maintaining adequate turn ratio and minimal obsolescence. Develop, implement and administer effective inventory procedures and policies, such as special order processes and return policies.
Maintain budget levels by monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
Control costs by getting competitive bids, being alert to wasteful practices, random checking of part numbers to verify count, performing perpetual inventories, and improving existing practices as needed.
Promote the sale of parts and labor by working with the Service employees in developing competitive parts and labor packages. Promote the benefits of using genuine Volkswagen, Skoda and Chery replacement parts through the use of displays, promotions, and other marketing techniques.
Motivate, train, develop, and hire direct staff. Define and monitor performance of direct reports.
Ensure that warranty parts storage and return polices are followed.
Upgrade knowledge of Volkswagen products and services and maintain professional and technical expertise by training on-the-job, attending trade shows and educational programs, establishing personal network, reviewing industry publications, and participating in professional societies.
Requirements
Analyzing sales, expenses and inventory each month to maintain profit goals
Handling customer complaints immediately and according to Company guidelines
Maintaining the supply of replacement parts using a computerized system
All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
One year of supervisory experience.
Experience in an automotive parts or service department.
Excellent communication and managerial skills.
Will be trained on the dealerships computer system.
Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines.
